About C&C Drums

C&C drums are made by musicians who also are craftsmen in the art of creating quality, often custom-made, drums at their shop in Gladstone, Missouri.

Where it started

Founder Bill Cardwell learned his craft restoring vintage drums. Taking old kits apart showed him how shell construction and the cut of a bearing edge change tone and resonance. That's still the idea behind every C&C: an authentic vintage sound, preferred by discerning drummers around the world.

Some drum companies call their drums handcrafted when they're made overseas and only assembled in the US. C&C has made its own shells in its Gladstone factory since 2010, and every drum is cut, finished and assembled there by hand.

How they're made

Five stages, all under one roof in Gladstone.

Shells
Made from the highest quality veneer. Each ply is inspected before it's glued and bent into C&C's moulds.
Bearing edges
Hand cut and hand sanded. Possibly the biggest single influence on a drum's tone.
Hardware
Deco lugs in die-cast steel, plated in high-quality chrome, single or double-ended.
Finishes
Every drum is hand sanded and finished. Simple, elegant inlays make each kit your own.
Quality control
Every drum is assembled, tuned and tested, then checked again before it's packed and shipped.

C&C Drums Australia is the official home of C&C in Australia and New Zealand. Every kit is built to order in Gladstone and shipped to you, with quotes in AUD.

Every C&C carries the C&C limited factory warranty: two years on shells and finishes, and one year on hardware, from the original date of purchase.
