A poplar core warms every shell and absorbs unwanted overtones. Choose maple, mahogany or walnut on the outside to set the voice, from bright classic rock to the dark, musical tone of the classic American drum.

Bearing edgesThe Los Angeles edge, cut over 7-ply maple re-rings.

Every edge is cut and sanded by hand in Gladstone. 12th & Vine uses the Los Angeles edge, cut over 7-ply maple reinforcement rings. Together they give the shell its focus and the warm, vintage attack the line is known for.

ShellsThree woods around a poplar core.

C&C has made its own shells since 2010. 12th & Vine shells are five plies, 6mm, with a poplar core and 7-ply maple reinforcement rings. The outer wood sets the voice; the poplar warms the shell and absorbs unwanted overtones.

Maple / Poplar
Higher and brighter. The classic rock tone of the late '60s and early '70s, with a wide tuning range, warm round attack and fast decay.
Mahogany / Poplar
Dark, with a lower fundamental. Exceptionally musical and one of the warmest drums C&C makes. The classic American drum.
Walnut / Poplar
A C&C original. Vintage '60s and '70s tone, only louder, with a smooth, round attack and punchy low end.

FinishesThirteen finishes across natural and stained, painted and Duco.

Every drum is hand sanded and finished in Gladstone. All finishes come in satin, vintage gloss or Auto Hi-Gloss.

HardwareSingle-ended Deco lugs, 2.3mm triple-flanged hoops, vintage fold-out spurs.

C&C's Deco lugs are die-cast steel, plated in high-quality chrome: single-ended on toms, floors and bass drums, double-ended on snares. The hoops are 2.3mm triple-flanged steel. Bass drums get vintage fold-out spurs and butterfly claws.
